Who are the Lehman Lobo Band Boosters?
Generally, the Boosters are the parents of the band students from Wallace Middle Schoolm Chapa Middle School and Lehman High School. This includes parents of children who are in the Jazz band, symphonic band, concert band, marching band, mariachi, and color guard.

What do the Boosters do?
The Boosters raise money for things that the Lobo Band needs but cannot pay for with school district funds (i.e., your tax dollars). We also provide muscles to help move heavy band instruments and equipment onto and off the field during football games and marching contests; ensure that meals are delivered to band students; provide water and food to band students during summer band open band hall days; cheer our kids as they march onto and off the field; etc.

What is the money used for?
Every year, the Lobo Band will travel places. We provide fundraising opportunities for students to help them pay for some of these trips. We also raise money for our organization and use the money raised to start future or continue existing fundraising activities. Last year, we used fundraising proceeds to send our drum majors to a camp in Lubbock, TX and to pay for part of the cost of building the Lobo Band's trailer.

Do I have to be a band parent to be part of the Boosters?
No. Even if you are not a parent and would like to help support the band program you may become a member of the Boosters.

Are there dues for being a member of the Boosters?
No! All that is required is that you take an active roll in supporting the band program. This could be working fundraising opportunities, helping organize different functions such as dinners or booths or even as simple as coming to the booster meetings and supplying ideas and information. There is no reason for you not to be a Booster!

When are Booster meetings?
The Boosters meet every second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Lehman Lobo Band Hall. Hope to see you there!

Do I have to fundraise?
No. There are plenty of other opportunities for you to help. But keep in mind that this is the best way to pay for your child's trips and fees.

Will I have fun being a Booster?
Yes, you will. Although we work really hard at times, we partake in each other's company and share in the success of our band kids. Doubtful? Come join us and see for yourself!
